The European Union and Competition practice is one of our firm' s fastest growing areas of practice. The majority of the attorneys in this practice group have previously worked with one or more of the main institutions of the European Union other public institutions or public or private international firms.

We assist Clients in the following fields:

  1. Italian and EU antitrust law, including concentration operations, restrictive agreements and dominant position abuses.
  2. State subsidies.
  3. Misleading and comparative advertising.
  4. Unfair commercial practices.
  5. Drafting and assistance in negotiating horizontal and vertical agreements and conglomerate mergers in conformity with the EU directives.
  6. Free circulation of goods, services and capitals.

We assist Clients in proceedings before the Italian antitrust authority (“Autorità Garante della Concorrenza e del Mercato”) and the European Commission in connection with preventive measures for concentration operations and proceedings for restrictive agreements and abuse of dominant position, represents Clients before administrative and civil Courts and issues legal opinions to the benefit of its Clients.
